Scholarships

The Mobile Development Institute established the Mobilize America Initiative, focused on a singular mission: Within 10 years, provide no-cost courses to teach 10,000 disadvantaged youths how to create software for mobile computers.

Our passion in this mission comes from the firm belief that our company has a responsibility in its position to help solve many important issues, including:

Providing a path towards a good financial future to thousands of impoverished, undereducated, and disadvantaged youths. We need to give them a “step-up” instead of a “hand-out.”

Helping to maintain and fortifying the American software development industry – one of the nation’s traditionally strong advantages in the global economy

Diminishing the growing “digital divide” between high-income and low-income families

Helping to fulfill a rapidly growing global market demand for skilled mobile application programmers. Adoption of new mobile platforms continue to dominate over desktop-based systems, and the millions of existing PC and Mac-based applications need to be redesigned for modern mobile computing.

We work with high school and community college career counselors to attract qualified students for our program. Students are selected based on the following criteria:

- United States citizens between 16 to 20 years of age
- Family considered as low-income by current regional standards
- Demonstrated interest and passion for computer technology
- Measured aptitude in logic problem solutions and puzzles

We are actively seeking partnerships with organizations devoted to helping our underprivileged youth communities. We are actively seeking the funding necessary to fuel our cause which can be transformed into enormous potential for the next generation. If you are interested in participating, please contact us at info@MobileDevelopmentInstitute.org.
